Luisium
Palace and Park
It is no coincidence that the name “Luisium” is based on Elysium: The picturesque park near Dessau remains peaceful and idyllic to this day. Anyone looking for a peaceful place to enjoy a leisurely stroll will fall in love with the charming little landscaped park and its little castle. It is simply elysian.

A special touring exhibition from Anhalt University of Applied Sciences will be stopping off at the Orangery in the Luisium in 2025.
The focus is on the fascinating habitat of dry grasslands in central Germany – and the question of how we can better protect rare species. Artists Inken Hemsen and Katrin Röder and cellist Christina Meißner approach this topic in a very personal, creative way: with images, sounds and new perspectives on nature and habitats.
The choice of the exhibition venue is no coincidence – garden art, cultural landscape and nature conservation meet directly at the Luisium. An inspiring location for an exhibition that shows how closely everything is connected.

The Luisium can be explored in a playful way with the Actionbound app. Active and tricky tasks make a visit to the park a fun and informative experience for young and old.
