History<\/div>

Artistic appreciation and innovation<\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t\t

Park W\u00f6rlitz was only a few years old when Schloss W\u00f6rlitz was built as its central building. From 1769 to 1773, the first purely classicist palace building on the European mainland was built. It was designed according to the latest English models by the architect Friedrich Wilhelm von Erdmannsdorff for the young Prince Leopold III Friedrich Franz von Anhalt-Dessau.<\/p>\n

In the spirit of the Enlightenment, even in the 18th century, guests were welcomed, guided through the rooms and were able to see what technical achievements the prince had brought to Anhalt-Dessau. The South Seas in the Garden Realm<\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t\t

In the mezzanine of the palace, you will find evidence of Polynesian life around 1770, which can no longer be found in the countries of origin today.
